Welcome

The decision to seek counseling for you or for a family member can be an intimidating task. There are many types of counselors with varied training, philosophies, and levels of experience, so finding the right one for you is important.

If your family seems to fight too much, counseling may help. Parents going through a divorce or separation should consult a therapist to help kids deal with such a difficult change. If your child’s behavior or emotional affect worries you, counseling may help. If you are worried about your child’s temper tantrums, difficulty in school, inability to make friends, symptoms of depression or anxiety, or excessive fighting with siblings, then counseling may help. It is not easy to determine whether things are normal issues or something more significant, needing the help of a therapist. I can assist you in deciding whether therapy is right for you and your family.

I work with children, adolescents, teens, and families. In addition to individuals and families, I also work with couples. I see people individually or in groups. I work very well with parents, helping them to help their kids. Parents are involved in the therapeutic process from the beginning because they have more power to help their kids change than anyone.
